Google app with AI mode
Last September, Google launched a beta version of its Windows app with an AI-powered mode. This app is now available to everyone worldwide, but currently only in English. More languages will undoubtedly be supported soon.
The Google app for Windows lets you use the Alt+Space shortcut to open it in a small window and ask any question. This shortcut will be very familiar to Mac users, as it opens Spotlight search.
The Google app provides a Google search box, but it offers much more – you can select a specific window to ask Google about, or you can select your entire screen and share it with Google so that AI can provide better answers.

With Google Lens, you can even select and search anything on your screen – not necessarily a window. This allows you to translate images or text and get help with anything you're doing.
