As expected, Apple's product launch week has begun, and the first of these was the iPhone 17e. This new, more affordable phone is very similar to last year's 16e, but it offers some improvements while maintaining the same price.

For starters, the iPhone 17e now runs on Apple's A19 chip, with a quad-core GPU. However, it also features the latest C1X modem, which is claimed to provide better connectivity.
On the front, the phone still has a 6.1-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels, a 60Hz refresh rate, and a notch for Face ID and the selfie camera. But the screen is now protected by the newer Ceramic Shield 2 glass.
On the back, the iPhone 17e has a single 48MP camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and supports 4K video recording at 60 frames per second with Dolby Vision. Apple claims that portrait photography performance has been improved thanks to a new image processing system.
The phone features a 12MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
