Early leaks about the Galaxy S27 Ultra reveal that Samsung is preparing something very ambitious, especially regarding battery technology.

According to a report from the German website Schrödinger Intel, the South Korean company is currently testing silicon-carbon batteries with capacities ranging from 12,000 mAh to 20,000 mAh.

This figure may seem unrealistic for a smartphone, but silicon-carbon batteries are known to store more energy than traditional lithium-ion batteries. Several Chinese smartphone manufacturers have explored this approach, although its long-term stability remains questionable, according to a report by the tech news site Digit, which was reviewed by Mobi Alo.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to be powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor.

The phone is rumored to come with up to 16GB of LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 5.0 storage.

Leaks also suggest that Samsung may equip the device with One UI 9.5 based on Android 17, potentially providing software updates for up to seven years. This would be a significant advantage for long-term users.

The phone's screen is expected to remain around 6.9 inches with a 144Hz refresh rate. Some speculations also point to Polar ID facial recognition, which could hint at a sleek design, possibly without a notch.

As for the camera, the phone is likely to feature a 200MP main sensor, supported by a 50MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultrawide lens.

The Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to launch in February or March 2027.
