Google has released a standalone Gemini app for macOS, offering a seamless desktop-like experience accessible from anywhere on your device.

The app can be quickly accessed using the Option + Space shortcut, allowing users to interact with Gemini without switching between apps or windows.

The app also supports screen context sharing, enabling you to share any window and receive relevant responses. For example, you can share a Chrome tab and ask questions about its contents. Additionally, the app allows users to upload and interact with local files.
