News regarding Honor indicates that three new models in the Magic 8 series are on the way: the Magic 8 Mini, the Magic 8 Ultra, and the premium Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design.
So far, the company has launched two phones in this series: the Magic 8 Pro and the standard Magic 8, unveiling them in Malaysia as the first step towards a global rollout after China.
The leaker WangzaiKnowsEverything reported that two Honor phones recently received 3C certification in China, a necessary pre-launch certification. Interestingly, both models belong to the flagship category.
One of these devices is the Honor Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design. If true, this is significant news, as earlier rumors suggested the company might skip this model in favor of adding two new devices: the Magic 8 Mini and the Magic 8 Ultra.
Besides the Magic 8 RSR, the other device listed in the 3C certification is believed to be the Honor Magic 8 Mini. Before these two models appeared, the Magic 8 Ultra had already surfaced in a certification database, confirming that its launch is imminent.
Interestingly, the leaker mentioned that the flagship phones have now entered pre-launch testing. However, it's still too early to speculate on a release date.
The listing reveals that the new phones support multi-device super-fast charging via the PPS (Programmable Power Supply) protocol.
PPS is an advanced fast-charging technology, an extension of the USB Power Delivery (PD) 3.0 standard. It allows for dynamic, real-time adjustment of voltage and current in small increments for more efficient charging.
According to previous information, the Magic 8 RSR will retain its sports car-inspired design on the back.
It may come with 120W charging support, a massive 7000mAh battery, and some new camera sensors.
