Waze is rolling out traffic light display in navigation after testing, but the feature is still gradual and not available to all users yet.

This feature is available in both Google Maps and Apple Maps

After several months of testing, the Waze mapping app has begun expanding its traffic light display within its navigation system, but the feature is still not available to everyone.

The ability to see traffic lights while using a map can be very useful, especially when there are multiple traffic lights along a long route.

However, while this feature has become widely available in Google Maps and Apple Maps, Waze has been lagging behind, according to a report by the tech news site 9to5Google, which was reviewed by Mobi Alo.

Waze has been observed testing the traffic light display feature since December 2025, and it now appears to be rolling out to more users.

There have been sporadic reports of this over the past few months, and a Reddit thread this week showed that more users are seeing the feature, some just in the last week or two, and others for a longer period.

Below is a screenshot of traffic lights in the Waze app, shared by a user, showing streets in the United States:

It's still unclear when Waze will roll out this feature more widely, but it's certainly available to more users than it was a few months ago.
